Emergency Medicine Quiz Competition

An engaging academic event designed to challenge participants’ knowledge, clinical reasoning, and decision-making in the dynamic field of emergency care. The quiz will cover a wide spectrum of topics including resuscitation, trauma, toxicology, critical care, disaster medicine, and other core areas of Emergency Medicine.

The competition aims to encourage academic excellence, stimulate learning, and foster healthy intellectual competition among trainees and professionals in Emergency Medicine. This event offers an exciting platform for participants to showcase their expertise, stay updated with evolving practices, and celebrate the spirit of learning in Emergency Medicine.

Participants will compete in multiple rounds designed to test knowledge, clinical reasoning, and rapid decision-making skills.

Team Composition

  • Each team must consist of 2 participants from the same institution
  • Participants should be Emergency Medicine Residents / Trainees
  • Senior residents and faculty members are not allowed
  • Teams once registered cannot change participants

Institutional Participation

  • No limit to the number of teams from a single institute in Preliminary Round
  • Only maximum 2 teams from an institute can appear for the Final Round

Preliminary Round

  • Conducted as a screening test
  • Questions will cover core Emergency Medicine topics
  • Top 4 teams will qualify for the Finals
  • If more than 2 teams from the same institute are in Top 4, only top 2 from that institute will qualify

Rules & Regulations

  • Decision of the Quiz Master will be final and binding
  • No mobile phones or electronic devices allowed during the quiz
  • Any form of malpractice will lead to disqualification
  • Teams must report on time for both prelims and finals

Awards

  • Winner and Runner-up prizes will be awarded
  • Certificates for finalists and all participants
