Abstract Guidelines
Submission Deadline: 31st March, 2026
EMKERALA 2026 invites high-quality scientific submissions from Emergency Medicine professionals, postgraduate residents, medical students, and allied healthcare providers.
All abstracts will undergo blinded peer review by the Scientific Committee. Authors are invited to submit abstracts for competitive presentations no later than 11:59 PM (IST) on 31st March 2026.

Notification regarding acceptance and presentation status will be communicated via email on or before 10th April 2026. Abstracts received after the deadline of 31st March 2026 will be considered for inclusion in non-competitive sessions only, subject to availability.
General Guidelines
- The presenting author must register for EMKERALA 2026 conference.
- Abstracts must be submitted as a Word document.
- It is mandatory to clearly specify the abstract category within the abstract document. Failure to mention the category may result in rejection without review.
- Use standard abbreviations only.
- Tables, graphs, and images should not be included in the abstract.
- Funding sources and conflicts of interest must be disclosed.
- For human subject research, ethical committee approval (or exemption) must be stated.
- Previously published or presented work will not be accepted.
- Submission does not guarantee Podium Presentation.
- The Scientific Committee reserves the right to re-categorize submissions or reject incomplete abstracts.

3. Resident Talk
Academic Session for Emergency Medicine Trainees
The Organising Committee of EMKERALA 2026 State Conference invites Emergency Medicine trainees to participate in the Resident Talk Session, an academic platform designed to encourage critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and evidence-based emergency care practices among young Emergency Physicians.
Eligibility
Opne to:
- MD & DNB Emergency Medicine Residents
- Emergency Medicine Graduates (MD/DNB) with less than 1 year of post-qualification clinical experience
The presenting author must fall under the above eligibility criteria at the time of submission.

PRESENTATION FORMAT
When you submit your video, it is recommended to record it similar to a podium presentation, with your PPT slides visible in the background.
